Had my first HT at age 22, didnt need an HT, I wasnt even a NW2, but the crooks at The Norton Clinic were quite happy to scar me up and give me bad micro grafts. I then went to Wellsbourne/The Hospital Group and had 3 HT's with them in an effort to make things better, but it just made things worse. They implanted in-correctly angled grafts and gave me a big low scar.

My last surgery with Wellsbourne was in 2002 and since then I was able to grow my hair into a centre parting and for the most part forget about my hair (it wasnt as bad as some on here but it was still bad)

Then in September 2008, it just hit me like a ton of bricks that I had done a very stupid thing when I was 22, and I became quite depressed and ending up taking anti-depressents. I couldnt believe that I had allowed this to be done to me and that I had paid for it aswell! During this time I told my wife about what I had done in the past (she didnt know about my HT's) I then told my dad followed by my mum and eventually my sister. All of them were totally cool about this and barely batted an eyelid.

Took me a long time to get past this depression and I even made my wife restrict what websites I could and couldnt go on, so no looking on HT forums etc.

I met Spex at some point during this time, who is a genuine guy and made the effort to meet me even though I didnt end up going to Dr Feller.

I managed to get past this depression without actually getting repaired.

In early 2009 I starting looking into repair optipons again, and came across BHR in Brussels. I exchanged emails with them for a few weeks about where my hair was and where I'd like it to be and arranged to meet Steve at Kings Cross in London. Let me tell you something Steve's hair is awesome, he shaves it down to 3-4 mm, hes had 7000 fue from his head and 1000 from his beard and chest, and he has no visible white dots from this. He was a NW6 and now hes basically a NW1. So I was impressed by Steve's barnet, but he told me to shop around anyway and didnt use any selling BS on me at all.

I had to have a meeting with Dr Bisanga, so my wife and I travelled to Brussels on the Eurostar. Very well presented modern looking clinic, very clean, and nice views of Brussels. Dr Bisanga took a look at me and could instantly see that my temple angles were miles out. He looked at my scar and said that I would have to have 2 surgerys, one to remove the worst of the grafts from the hairline and use those and normal fue into my scar, and the second surgery to redo my bad hairline.

On 17th October I had my first surgery, I had about 150 bad plugs removed from the hairline and about 500 standard fue all put into my scar. I was in the chair for 7 hours and we didnt stop for lunch, which was fine with me as I just wanted to get things done. The only pain I felt was the anesthetic and that wasnt very painful TBH.

On the 17th November I went back to Brussels to have some more plugs taken from my hairline, I had 60 more bad ones taken out. Only a short session, I left the U.K in the morning and got back in the evening on the same day.

On the 9th April 2010 I had my hairline re-done, we had to go more aggresive than normal on hairline design as we had to hide the bad work from previous HT's. Dr Bisanga basically followed my current hairline, but came about 1mm in front of it to hide to hide the bad stuff. I'm very happy with the hairline design and I dont think that I'm gonna have to have anything else done to my hairline now.

I will update with info and pictures as the months roll on.

Hi Sparky,

To upload pictures you can either just copy/paste the IMG code if your pictures are in photobucket/imageshack etc on line picture hosting or below the text box when writing a reply see "• Add image to post"

Hope this helps and good healing!
